XDSL VPN
With the last couple of proposals and tenders that we have won, we have realised that XDSL has a unique system that separates us from the big names in the industry. So with this edition I would like to elaborate on our VPN solutions.

I have also recognised that business customers do not realise all the extras that form part of our state of the art technologies. XDSL offers so much more than our competitors!

Please read and see what differentiates and separates us from the rest of the competition.

What differentiates XDSL's VPNs from the competition?

  1. Pro-active monitoring and support
  2. We use state of the art technology to give the customer better end-to-end experience
  3. XDSL goes the proverbial “extra mile”
  4. No fixed-term contracts
  5. Competitive pricing

1. Pro-active monitoring and support

All of our customer services are pro-actively monitored, which means we will be aware of any problems before the customer even becomes aware of such problems. In fact, we would have probably started the troubleshooting process and almost certainly have fixed the problem before the customer even picks up the phone.

Things we monitor:

  • Traffic flow per interface
  • Traffic flow per protocol
  • Cap percentage used on ADSL accounts
  • VPN tunnels
  • ADSL lines and numbers
  • Hard disk drive space
  • Processors
  • Notifications
In summary this means better uptime, better quality and user satisfaction.

2. XDSL uses state of the art technology which gives the customer a better end to end experience

XDSL uses the same technology that other ISPs use on their core network. This technology is available to customers that take our QoS firewalls.

  • Traffic prioritisation
  • Managed and controlled access
  • Ability to track network use and abuse
  • Automatic virus detection and blocking
  • SFQ (Stochastic Fairness Queuing) – Queueing IP packets better and reducing packet loss on busy lines
  • PCQ (Per connection queuing) - to dynamically equalise or shape traffic for multiple connections

3. No fixed term contracts

XDSL does not believe in tying customers into a contract; we believe that the solution must sell itself, hence you as the customer will by choice remain a customer due to our excellent product-, service- and solution delivery .

4. XDSL goes the proverbial “extra mile”

Most of the VPN service providers execute what is required, no extra effort.
Their tune rings something like this: “If the connection is up and running, our responsibility stops.” In essence they support from the router to the router.
Unfortunately this is problematic because the LAN (Local Area Network) and the WAN (Wide Area Network) are directly dependant of each other. Whatever affects the LAN affects the WAN. For example, if you have a virus, or if any one person misuses the Internet/VPN it will slow down the Internet/VPN connection for everyone in the office -- no exceptions.

The biggest culprits of slow speeds on a VPN or the Internet is normally due to: bad network design; over use and abuse; no QoS; and especially the ever-popular viruses, such W32.MyDoom@mm.

XDSL assists the customer in all of these issues and can identify where problems lie. We can also assist the customer in network design to ensure that better speeds are attained.

We pride ourselves by providing tailor made solutions, not just your standard off the shelf solutions. We tailor our products and expertise as per our customers' needs, providing them with the best available solutions.

5. Competitive pricing

Which other ISP will provide you with more for less? With XDSL, you can have this service at an affordable price.

Please note, in order for us to keep our promise of excellent products-, service- and solution delivery, we require that all ADSL lines and accounts be moved to XDSL.
Moving of the lines can be done by our staff as well, hence even less admin detail for you to worry about!

Now, having all this information, does it not seem like the logical, obvious choice to make XDSL you service provider?
