Planning for 2010

This will be an incredible year for XDSL and you as a customer. We are planning some exciting developments that will affect you as a customer directly and indirectly.

XDSL is now positioned to give our customers the best money can buy. We are in a position where we have greater independence from upstream providers and can choose the best priced with the best reliability.

Unfortunately we can not reveal everything but keep on monitoring this space.....

Planning to do in 2010

  • Obtain additional SEACOM capacity
  • Obtain capacity from new undersea fibre cables that will be completed this year
  • Connect our customers to these upstream providers without touching Telkom’s infrastructure. So the days of “best effort service” will be gone and the days of best service will be here
  • Increase our capacity with another 150%
  • Launch redundant network platforms for customers for more and better uptime. Especially for our corporate customers
  • Improve our Storage Area Network with better technology
  • Launch Windows Hosting
  • Launch our much improved control panel for hosting management
  • Implement IPC over fibre to our new hosting facility
  • Metro Ethernet for greater scalability on local bandwidth
  • Increase user base for economies of scale
  • Launch excellent voice solutions
  • Increase staff productivity and capability to deliver better and faster support
